Use Publish filters, overview and post details¶
This page covers the smaller parts of Publish: the channel filter, the side panel, the menus on each post, and the details window. You can find any post, copy its link on the network, see which channel failed, and copy a post to reuse it. It takes about 5 minutes.
Before you start¶
- You can see Social in the left rail, with Publish in its panel.
- At least one network is connected, and you have created at least one post. See Create and publish a social post.
Steps¶
Read the tabs and counts¶
- Open Social in the left rail, then select Publish.
- Look at the tabs: Queue, Drafts, Approvals and Sent. Each tab shows how many posts it holds.
- Click List or Calendar to switch the view. See Schedule posts and manage the queue for the calendar.
- If a tab is empty, it says No … posts yet.
- Click the refresh icon to reload the posts.
Start for the first time¶
If no channel is connected, Publish shows Welcome to Publish.
- Click Connect a Channel to connect your first network. See Connect social accounts.
- Or click Invite your Team to add teammates first.
Filter by channel¶
- Click Channels in the filter row. On a narrow screen, click Filters first.
- Type in Search channels to find a channel.
- Tick the channels you want. Click Select all to tick every channel.
- If no channel matches, the list says No channels found. Click Connect a Channel to add one.
- The list and the counts now show only those channels.
Check the Tags and Timezone filters¶
- Click Tags. It says No tags and Use tags to organise your content. Tags are not available to pick yet.
- Click Timezone. It says Based on this device — per-user timezones are coming soon. Post times follow your device.
Find drafts with no date¶
- In Calendar view, click No Date.
- Read Undated drafts. It lists drafts and approvals that have no scheduled date.
- If there are none, it says No Undated Drafts.
Read the Publishing Overview¶
- Look at the panel on the right of Publish.
- Under Publishing Overview, read This Week. It counts Queued, Drafts, Published and Failed.
- Read the line that says what percent of your posts published successfully this week.
Use Quick Actions¶
- In the same panel, find Quick Actions.
- Click Create Post to open the composer.
- Click Create from Template to open Templates. See Use post templates.
- Click View Calendar to switch to the calendar.
- Bulk Schedule and Media Library show a message that they are coming soon.
Use the menu on a post¶
- On a post, click the ⋯ menu.
- On a Queue post, you can click Publish Now or Cancel schedule.
- On any post, click Duplicate to make a copy you can edit and send again.
- Click Delete to remove it.
- On a Sent post, you can also click Post Details or Copy link.
- Click Copy link to copy the post's link on the network. The message Link copied. appears. If the post has no link yet, it says No published link available yet.
Open the post details¶
- On a Sent post, click ⋯, then Post Details.
- The title reads Published on and the date.
- Read the channel and the post text. Media shows as a strip below.
- Under Channels, read which network published and which failed. A failed one shows the network's error.
- Read the numbers row for the post.
- Click Go to post to open the post on the network. If it has no link yet, it says No published link available yet.
See the analytics of one post¶
- On a Sent post that did not fail, click View Analytics. A failed post shows Retry instead.
- The Post Analytics window opens with a row for each network.
- If there are no figures yet, it says No published targets for this post yet.
- Click Close when you are done.
Cancel a scheduled post¶
- On a Queue post, click ⋯, then Cancel schedule.
- In Cancel this scheduled post?, click Cancel schedule to confirm, or Keep scheduled to leave it.
Send feedback¶
- Click Share Feedback at the top of Publish.
- Type your thoughts and click Submit, or Close to leave.
