Change event settings¶
Each event has its own settings. They decide how closely a face must match a guest's selfie, when photos reach guests, how often WhatsApp tells guests about new photos, what guests can download, and how long selfies are kept.
Before you start¶
- The event exists. See Create an event.
Steps¶
- Click Photos on the left rail, select Events, and open the event.
- Go to the Settings tab. It reads Choose who can open the gallery, when photos reach guests, and how long the photos are kept.
- Change the settings below.
- Save your changes.
Match strictness¶
How closely a face in a photo must match the guest's selfie.
| Option | Match score | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| Strict | 95 | Guests should see fewer look-alikes. Some of their photos may be missed. |
| Balanced | 85 | Most events. |
| Loose | 80 | Guests miss photos taken from the side or far away. Look-alikes may show up. |
Release¶
When new photos reach guests.
- Straight away — guests see a photo as soon as their face is found in it.
- Review first — new photos are Held. Guests see them only after you release them on the Photos tab. See Upload and organise photos.
WhatsApp window¶
While the event is live, Ohanvi tells guests on WhatsApp when new photos of them arrive. Matches found within the window are grouped into one message.
- 30 s, 90 s or 5 min.
A longer window sends fewer, bigger messages. A guest gets at most 6 of these live messages a day.
Downloads¶
What guests can save from the gallery.

Watermark¶
Turn the watermark on to show it on the photos guests see.
Selfie retention¶
Pick how long guests' selfies are kept. Selfies are deleted after this period. Guests can delete their own data at any time from the guest page.
What a selfie is used for
A selfie is used only to find that guest's photos at this event. A search never crosses events.
Troubleshooting¶
