Explore Insights charts and one channel¶
Insights shows all your channels together. Click one channel to see its posts, weekly takeaways and metric charts. This page explains every chart, toggle and filter on Insights. It takes about 5 minutes.
Before you start¶
- You can see Social in the left rail, with Insights in its panel.
- At least one network is connected and has published posts. See Create and publish a social post.
- For the summary figures and top posts, see Read social insights.
Steps¶
Pick the period and the channel¶
- Open Social in the left rail, then select Insights.
- Pick 7 days, 30 days or Month to date at the top. Each figure is compared with the period before.
- Click Channels.
- Pick All Channels, or one channel. A filled dot marks your choice.
- If no channel is connected, the list says No channels connected.
- Click Refresh to reload the numbers.
Use the Tags filter¶
- Click Tags.
- Read the list. Today it says No tags available yet.
Note
Tags are on posts, but Insights does not roll them up yet. The filter is there, but it has nothing to pick.
Read the Performance table for all channels¶
- With All Channels selected, scroll to Performance.
- Read each channel's Posts, Reactions, Comments, Eng. Rate, Followers, Views and Reach. A channel that does not report followers, views or reach shows a dash. On a narrow screen, scroll the table sideways.
- Click a channel's row. Insights switches to that channel.
- If a channel had no posts, the table says No channel activity in this period.
Read the Followers chart¶
- Scroll to Followers.
- Click Bar, Line or Growth at the top right of the chart.
- Bar compares channels. Line shows the trend. Growth shows how much followers changed, in percent, against the period before.
- Only channels that report followers appear. Today that is Instagram connected with Direct Instagram login.
Read the Posts chart¶
- Scroll to Posts.
- Click Bar to compare how many posts each channel published.
- Click Stacked Bar to stack the channels on top of each other.
Look at one channel¶
- Pick one channel in Channels, or click its row in Performance. Instagram opens its own view instead of the sections below. See Read Instagram insights.
- Read WEEKLY TAKEAWAYS at the top. Click the arrow beside it to fold it.
- Read the two cards:
- Start Building Your Posting Habit shows how many posts you published in the period. Click Create a Post to open Publish.
- Set a Posting Goal is a reminder to set a goal. It has no button yet.
- Read Performance per Post. It lists every post with its Reactions, Comments and Eng. Rate. The line Posts · N shows the count.
- If you published nothing, it says No published posts in this period.
Read the Metrics tabs¶
These appear when one channel is selected.
- Scroll to Metrics.
- Click Content Impact to see the posts chart.
- Click Audience Growth to see the follower line chart.
- Click Visibility. It says Impressions and reach are not reported by the connected networks yet.
Rank your top posts¶
- Under Top 5 Posts, click Reactions or Comments at the top right.
- Read the five post cards in that order. Each card shows its channel, date and text.
- The Open post icon on a card is greyed out today. To work on a post, find it in Publish.
