What guests see

A guest scans the QR code, verifies their WhatsApp number, takes a selfie, and sees the photos they are in. There is no app to install. The page opens at an address such as app.ohanvi.com/e/aarav-diya-wedding. Use this page to try it yourself, or to answer a guest's question.

Find your photos as a guest

Try this on your own phone before the event.

  1. Scan the guest QR code with the phone camera. The event page opens in the phone's browser, at an address such as app.ohanvi.com/e/aarav-diya-wedding.
  2. Tap Find my photos. Enter your name and WhatsApp number, and tick the box to agree to the selfie.
  3. Tap Verify with WhatsApp. WhatsApp opens with a ready-made message to the studio. Send it, then go back to the page. Or tap Get a 6-digit code instead and type the code you get on WhatsApp.
  4. Take a selfie. Face the camera in good light.
  5. Read your photos. They are sorted by folder, for example Haldi, Sangeet and Reception.

While the event is live, new photos of you appear on the page as they arrive.

Download and share photos

Guests can download when the studio turned on downloads. See Change event settings.

  1. On the page with your photos, tap Select.
  2. Tap the photos you want, or tap Select all.
  3. Tap Download. The page prepares a ZIP file, for example Preparing your ZIP of 12 photos…, then shows Your ZIP is ready.

  4. To send photos to family instead, tap Share. The page makes a link to those photos and the message Link copied appears.

  5. A ZIP holds up to 200 photos. Each guest can make 3 ZIPs an hour. A ready ZIP can be downloaded for 24 hours.

  6. A share link holds up to 50 photos and works for 7 days. Whoever opens it sees only those photos, not the rest of the event.
  7. Hosts download and share the same way from the Full gallery and Album selection links.

The WhatsApp message

When new photos of a guest arrive, Ohanvi sends a WhatsApp message such as We found 12 photos of you, with a View my photos button.

  • Matches are grouped into one message per WhatsApp window, set in the event's settings.
  • A guest gets at most 6 of these live messages a day.
  • To stop the messages, the guest replies STOP.

Your reel

When the studio turns on Reels, a guest who found their photos gets a short video made from them.

  1. Open your photos. A Your reel is ready card shows at the top. While it is being made, the page reads We're making your reel. It'll be here in a couple of minutes.
  2. Tap Watch. The reel plays without sound. Tap Tap for sound to hear it.
  3. Tap Save video to keep it. Post the saved video to Instagram Reels or your WhatsApp Status from your phone.

The reel also arrives on WhatsApp, with a Watch my reel button.

  • Your reel needs a few more photos means there are too few photos of you yet. The reel is made when more arrive.
  • Your reel has expired means its keep-for period ended. Tap Make my reel again.
  • To stop reels of you, open the menu and tap Don't make reels of me. Your reel is deleted. Your photos stay.
  • If the reel shows someone else, open ⋯ in the player and tap This isn't me. The reel is hidden and the studio is told.

VIP guests

Guests who open the VIP link take a selfie and see the photos they are in. They don't give a WhatsApp number, and they get no WhatsApp messages. To see new photos, they open the same link again. The studio sends this link only to the people it is for, such as parents and elders.

Guest FAQ

Do I need to install an app? No. The page opens in your phone's browser.

Why does it ask for my WhatsApp number? To make sure it is you, and to tell you when new photos of you arrive. Reply STOP at any time to stop the messages.

What is my selfie used for? Only to find your photos at this event. It is never used to search another event.

Can other guests see my photos? Not through the guest link. Each guest sees only the photos they are in. The hosts can see the full gallery.

How long is my selfie kept? It is deleted after the period the studio set. You can delete your data at any time from the page.

Some of my photos are missing. New photos keep arriving while the event is live. Photos taken from the side or far away may not match. Check again later, or ask the studio for the full gallery.

It says no face was found in my selfie. Take the selfie again in good light, facing the camera. Remove sunglasses or a mask, and keep only your face in the frame.

Can I get a video of my photos? If the studio turned on Reels, yes. Your reel appears at the top of your photos once there are enough photos of you.

I'm not on WhatsApp. Ask the studio. They can send you a link that needs no number.

Can I download my photos? If the studio turned on downloads, yes. Select the photos and tap Download to get a ZIP of up to 200 photos. The studio decides whether you get the full-size photo or a smaller copy.

Can I send my photos to family? Yes. Select the photos and tap Share. The link shows up to 50 photos and works for 7 days.

Troubleshooting

Issue Cause Fix
The page opens but shows no photos The event is still a draft, or no photo matches yet. Publish the event. Ask the guest to check again later.
Verify with WhatsApp doesn't open WhatsApp WhatsApp isn't installed on that phone. Ask the guest to use the 6-digit code, or send them the VIP link.
No face found in the selfie The light is poor, or the face is covered or turned away. Take the selfie again in good light, facing the camera.
The guest stopped getting messages They replied STOP, or reached 6 messages for the day. Their photos still show on the page. Ask them to open it from the QR code.
You can make 3 ZIPs an hour. The guest made 3 ZIPs in the last hour. Wait an hour, or download photos one by one.
A shared link reads This link has expired Share links work for 7 days. Select the photos again and tap Share for a new link.
The studio has turned off downloads for this gallery. Downloads is Off in the event's settings. Pick Originals or Web size. See Change event settings.
The guest has no reel Reels are off for the event, or the guest has too few photos yet. Turn Reels on for the event, or upload more photos. See Make reels for guests.
