Share the gallery

Each event has 4 links: one for guests, one for the full gallery, one for the couple's album selection, and one for VIPs. You copy a link, show its QR code, protect it with a PIN, or send it to a CRM list on WhatsApp.

Before you start

  • The event has photos. See Upload and organise photos.
  • The event is published, or will be before guests look for photos. Guests can register on a draft, but see no photos until you publish. See Create an event.
  • To send a link on WhatsApp, your WhatsApp number is connected and you have an approved template with a variable for the link. See Connect your WhatsApp number.
Link Who it's for What they see
Guest link Every guest. Put its QR code up at the venue. Only the photos they are in, after they verify on WhatsApp and take a selfie.
Full gallery The hosts. Every published photo, by folder. Optional: Require registration.
Album selection The couple. The event's photos. They heart the photos they want in the album, add a note to any pick, and send the picks to the studio. Sent picks are locked. They appear on the Selection tab.
VIP Parents and elders who don't want to type a number. Only the photos they are in, after a selfie. No WhatsApp number is asked, and no WhatsApp messages are sent.

Never print the VIP link

The VIP link skips WhatsApp verification. Send it only to the people it is for. Don't print its QR code or post it anywhere public.

Steps

Share the guest QR code

  1. Click Photos on the left rail, select Events, and open the event.
  2. Go to the Share tab. Each link has its own card with its QR code and address. The guest link's address looks like app.ohanvi.com/e/aarav-diya-wedding. The other links add a part and a key, for example app.ohanvi.com/e/aarav-diya-wedding/all?t=….
  3. On the Guest link card, check the badge reads On. If it reads Off, turn on the switch.
  4. Click Copy link to copy the address. The message Link copied appears.
  5. Put the QR code up at the venue: on the welcome board, a table stand or a screen.
  1. On the Share tab, find the link's card.
  2. Turn the switch off. The message, for example Full gallery link turned off, appears, and the badge reads Off.

A link that is off doesn't open. Turn the switch on again to open it.

Ask for a PIN

  1. On the link's card, turn on Ask for a PIN. The Set a PIN window opens.
  2. In PIN, type 4 to 6 digits.
  3. Click Set PIN. The message PIN set appears.
  4. Share the PIN with the people who should open the link.

Visitors type the PIN before they see anything. The PIN is stored scrambled and cannot be shown again, so note it down. To pick a new one, click Change.

To remove the PIN, turn Ask for a PIN off and click Remove PIN. Anyone with the link can then open it without a PIN.

  1. On the Full gallery card, turn on Require registration. The message Registration required appears.

Visitors then verify a WhatsApp number first, so you know who opened the full gallery.

  1. On the link's card, click Send on WhatsApp. The link is copied, the message Link copied. Paste it into your broadcast message. appears, and the broadcast composer opens.
  2. Under Contact groups, tick the CRM list to send to, for example the guest list the couple shared.
  3. Choose an approved template that has a variable for the link.
  4. Paste the link into that variable, then test and send the campaign. See Send a broadcast campaign.

Tip

Send the Album selection link to the couple alone, not to a list.
