Design a review flyer

Design a printable flyer that carries your review page's QR code, from the Classic template or your own photo, then download it as a PNG image or a PDF in A6, A5, A4 or as a table tent. Customers scan it at your counter and post the review on Google themselves. It takes about 5 minutes.

Before you start

  • Your review page is set up and linked to your Google listing. See Get more Google reviews.
  • Your review page is turned on.
  • To print your name, Business name is set in the Review page settings, or your Google listing has a name.
  • To print your logo, have it ready as a JPG or PNG file. You can upload it on the flyer.
  • With several branches, each branch has its own flyer and QR code. Pick the branch in Branch: at the top. See Manage branches.

Steps

Open the flyer

  1. Click More on the left rail, then select Google Reviews → Flyer.
  2. Read the line at the top: Print this flyer for your counter or reception. Customers scan the code, pick what they liked and post the review on Google themselves.
  3. If a warning shows under it, click Go to Review page and fix it before you print:
    • Your review page is off, so this QR code opens a "not found" page. Turn the page on before you print.
    • Your review page isn't linked to your Google listing yet, so it stays closed. Finish setup before you print.

If you have no review page yet, the screen says Set up your review page first. Click Go to Review page.

Pick a template

The Design panel is on the left. The Preview shows the flyer as you change it. On a wide screen it stays in view while you scroll. On a phone it is below the Design panel.

  1. Under Template, click a picture of the template you want. The line under it reads Tap to switch. Your text stays.

Template What it looks like Suits
Classic A coloured top band with your logo, name, tagline and service icons, then Review us on Google, your rating, a large QR code and the steps Scan, Tap stars and Post. The top band can show a photo. Any business.
Your photo + QR Your own finished design or photo, with the QR code placed on it. A flyer made in Canva or by a designer, or a photo of your shop.
  2. Follow the steps for your template below, then download and print it.

The settings are split into numbered tabs above the form. Classic has Text & icons, Colours & photos, QR code and Print. Your photo + QR has Photo, QR code and Print.

Older templates open as Classic

The flyer now has 2 templates. Service icons and a background photo are part of Classic, and you can turn each one on or off. A flyer saved with an older template opens as Classic, with your text, icons and background kept.

Design a Classic flyer

  1. Under Template, pick Classic.
  2. Click Text & icons.
  3. In Headline, type a short line above the QR code, up to 60 characters. The counter shows how many you have used. The default is Loved your visit? Tell Google.
  4. In Tagline, type a short line under your name, such as your services, up to 80 characters. For example: Sales · Service · Repair.
  5. Under Service icons, check the icons that show under the tagline. Your industry's icons are filled in the first time. You can:
    • Click an icon to pick another one under Change icon.
    • Change the text in Label.
    • Drag ⠿ to change the order.
    • Click Remove icon to drop one.
    • Click Add icon to add one. Use up to 7.
  6. Turn the switches on or off:
    • Show icons — the row of service icons under your tagline.
    • Show Google rating — your real rating from your Google listing, such as 4.8.
    • Show business name — your business name in the top band.
    • Show "Powered by Ohanvi" — a small line in the footer.
  7. Turn Show logo on to print your logo. To add or replace it, click Upload or Change and pick your logo file. It also becomes the logo of your review page. With no logo set, your initials are shown.
  8. Click Colours & photos. Under Colours, pick Indigo, Fresh green, Warm amber or Dark.
  9. Under Background photo, pick what fills the top band:
    • None — the plain colour.
    • Generate with AI — Ohanvi makes a photo from the AI prompt below. The prompt is Filled from your industry. Edit it and generate again. It takes up to a minute. You can generate 3 backgrounds a day for each review page.
    • Upload photo — pick a JPG or PNG file, up to 10 MB.
  10. Click QR code. Drag QR size. The label shows the size on paper, such as 8.4 cm on A5. A bigger code is easier to scan from further away.
  11. Under QR colour, pick a colour swatch, or type a colour code such as #1E3A8A. Dark colours scan best. The default is #000000, black.
  12. Turn Logo in the middle of the QR on to put your logo in the middle of the code. Phones still read it. With no logo, the code prints without one.
  13. Read the line under the QR settings. Scans well. means the code has strong contrast and is big enough. A red line tells you what to change.
  14. Click Print and pick a Paper size: A6 (Bill / card), A5 (Counter), A4 (Wall) or Table tent (Folds in 2). The default is A5.
  15. Click Save flyer. The message Flyer saved appears. Your design opens the same way next time.

To drop your changes, click Undo changes. It brings back the last saved design.

What the AI draws and what it doesn't

The AI makes only the background photo in the top band. Ohanvi prints the QR code, your name, tagline, icons, rating and the steps Scan, Tap stars and Post itself, so the code always scans and the spelling is right. The AI never writes text or logos into the photo.

Your rating, only when it is real

The rating comes from your confirmed Google listing. If your listing has no rating yet, or you pasted a review link instead of confirming a listing, no rating or stars are shown.

Keep the QR code dark

Phones need strong contrast to read a QR code. A light colour shows Pick a darker QR colour so phones can scan it. You cannot save or download the flyer until you pick a darker one.

No rewards in the headline

Google doesn't allow offers in exchange for reviews. A headline with words such as discount, offer, free, cashback, coupon, voucher, gift, prize, reward or "% off" shows Remove the reward. Google doesn't allow offers in exchange for reviews. You cannot save or download the flyer until you remove it.

Polite words only

The headline, tagline and icon labels are printed for every customer to see. A swear word or slur in any of them stops the save with Please remove the word "…" and try again., and the word shows under the field. Honest words such as "slow" or "bad" are fine.

Every upload on the flyer works the same way: your logo, the Classic background photo and your own photo.

  1. Click the upload button and pick a JPG or PNG file, up to 10 MB.
  2. Watch the line next to the small preview. A large photo first shows Making it smaller…, then Uploading with a percentage, such as Uploading 62%, then Saving…. Under the progress bar, the size it was made smaller to shows, such as 8.4 MB → 1.6 MB.
  3. To stop, click Cancel while it reads Making it smaller… or Uploading.

The flyer preview shows your photo straight away, while it uploads. Ohanvi makes large photos smaller before they upload: the longest side becomes at most 3508 pixels, which is A4 at 300 dpi. Print quality stays the same, and the upload is faster.

If the upload fails, the message Couldn't upload shows with the reason. Click Try again.

Use your own photo with the QR code

Use this when you already have a finished design or a photo. You upload it, choose how it fills the page, and place your QR code on it.

  1. Under Template, pick Your photo + QR. The Photo tab opens.
  2. Click Upload your photo and pick a JPG or PNG file, up to 10 MB. See Upload a photo or logo. To replace it later, click Change photo.
  3. Under Fit, pick how the photo fills the page:
    • Fill page — the photo covers the page. Its edges may be cut. This is the default.
    • Show whole photo — the whole photo shows, and the space round it is filled.
  4. For Show whole photo, pick what fills the space round the photo: Blurred photo, White, Black or QR colour tint.
  5. Above the preview, click Move photo. Drag the photo on the preview to move it, and pinch or drag the Zoom slider to zoom from 100% to 300%.
  6. Click Rotate to turn the photo a quarter turn. Click Reset to put the photo back in the middle at 100%, unturned.
  7. Click Move QR above the preview. Drag the QR code to where it should print. To change its size, drag the blue corner of the QR code.
  8. Click QR code. Move the QR size slider between 8% and 70% of the photo's width. The label shows the size on paper, such as 4.1 cm on A5, and the line under the slider shows the share of the width, such as 28% of width.
  9. Optional: under Position, click Top left, Top right, Centre, Bottom left or Bottom right to snap the QR code there.
  10. Under Style, pick White box + "Scan to review" to put the code on a white box with the words under it, or QR only. On a busy photo, the white box keeps the code readable.
  11. Pick a QR colour, as for Classic.
  12. Click Print. Pick a Paper size: A6, A5 or A4. Under Page, pick Portrait or Landscape.
  13. Click Save flyer. The photo's fit, zoom, position and turn, the page direction and the QR code's place and size are all saved. The QR code's place and size are saved as a share of the photo, so it lands in the same spot on every paper size.

If your photo is wider than it is tall, the Photo tab shows Your photo is wide. A landscape page shows more of it. Click Use landscape to switch the page.

The table tent is not available with Your photo + QR. The Print tab reads The table tent is available with the Classic template.

Blurry when printed

A small photo, or one zoomed in a lot, can look blurry on paper. When it would print below 150 dpi, the Photo tab shows This photo may look blurry when printed (about … dpi). Zoom out, pick smaller paper or upload a bigger photo. The preview also shows The photo may look blurry when printed. Zoom out or pick smaller paper. You can still download it.

Keep the QR code big enough

A QR code smaller than about 2.5 cm on paper, or one on a busy photo without the white box, may not scan. The size label adds too small to scan, and the preview shows The QR code may be too small to scan when printed. Make it bigger, pick a larger Paper size, or turn on the white box.

Download and print

  1. Under the preview, click Download PNG or Download PDF. The button reads Preparing… while the file is made.
  2. The file saves as google-review-flyer.png or google-review-flyer.pdf. The message Flyer downloaded or Flyer PDF downloaded appears. When the app saves to a folder, it reads Flyer saved to or Flyer PDF saved to, followed by the file's location.
  3. Print it and put it where customers wait or pay.

Downloads use the design shown here, saved or not. With Your photo + QR, the file matches the preview exactly: the same fit, zoom, position, turn and page direction, with the QR code on top of your photo at full resolution. The PDF prints at full paper size:

Paper size The PDF
A6, A5 or A4 One page of that size, portrait or landscape.
Table tent One A4 landscape page with the flyer twice. The top copy is upside down.

Fold a table tent

  1. Pick Table tent (A4, folded) and download the PDF.
  2. Print it on A4 at full size.
  3. Fold along the dashed line.
  4. Stand it on a table. Both sides show the flyer.

Tip

Scan the printed flyer with your own phone before you put it out. It should open your review page.

Troubleshooting

Issue Cause Fix
Remove the reward. Google doesn't allow offers in exchange for reviews. The headline mentions a reward. Rewrite the headline without the offer.
Keep the headline to 60 characters. The headline is too long. Shorten it.
Download PNG and Download PDF do nothing, and the preview says Fix the headline, tagline or icon labels to save or download the flyer. The headline has a reward word, or the headline, tagline or an icon label is too long. Fix the field with the red message under it.
Please remove the word "…" and try again. The headline, tagline or an icon label has a swear word or slur. Flyers are printed for everyone to see. Remove or replace the word shown, then click Save flyer. Honest words such as "slow" or "bad" are fine.
Choose Classic or Your photo + QR. The flyer was saved with a template that no longer exists, from an old browser tab or an older version of the app. Reload the page, pick Classic or Your photo + QR, then click Save flyer.
The printed QR code opens a "not found" page The review page is off, a new QR code was made, or the page is not linked to Google. Click Go to Review page, fix the page, then download and print again.
The flyer shows initials instead of a logo No logo is set on the review page. Add a logo on Review page, or turn Show logo off.
Customers can't scan the code from a distance The QR code is small. On the QR code tab, move QR size up, or pick a bigger Paper size, then download again.
Pick a darker QR colour so phones can scan it. The QR code colour is too light. Pick one of the swatches, or a darker colour code.
Use a colour code like #1A2B3C. The colour code is not 6 characters after #. Type a full code, such as #1E3A8A.
The preview says Fix the QR code colour to download the flyer. The QR code colour can't be used. Fix the colour under QR code colour.
The QR code prints without your logo No logo is set. On Text & icons, click Upload next to Show logo, then download again.
Generate with AI stops working for the day You generated 3 backgrounds today for this review page. Click Upload photo, or try again tomorrow.
The AI background doesn't fit your business The prompt doesn't describe your business well. On Colours & photos, edit the AI prompt with your products or services, then generate again.
An upload is refused, or shows Choose a photo under 10 MB. The file is not JPG or PNG, or it is still over 10 MB after Ohanvi made it smaller. Save the image as JPG or PNG and make it smaller, then upload it again.
An upload is slow The photo is large, or the internet connection is slow. Wait for the percentage to finish, or click Cancel and upload a smaller photo. Large photos are made smaller first, so most finish in seconds.
Couldn't upload The connection dropped, or the server refused the file. Click Try again.
The flyer shows no rating Your Google listing has no rating yet, it is not confirmed, or Show Google rating is off. Confirm your business on Review page, or turn Show Google rating on.
A warning says the QR code may not scan With Your photo + QR, the code is smaller than about 2.5 cm on paper. Drag the blue corner or the QR size slider to make it bigger, or pick a larger Paper size.
This photo may look blurry when printed (about … dpi). The photo has too few pixels for the paper size, or it is zoomed in a lot. Zoom out, pick a smaller Paper size, or upload a bigger photo.
The edges of your photo, such as your name or logo, are cut off Fill page covers the whole page, so a photo of another shape loses its edges. Pick Show whole photo, zoom out, or switch Page to Landscape for a wide photo.
The photo moves when you mean to move the QR code Move photo is picked above the preview. Click Move QR, then drag the code.
Table tent is missing from Paper size The table tent works only with Classic. Pick A6, A5 or A4, or switch to Classic.
The QR code is hard to scan on your photo The photo is busy behind the code. Under Style, pick White box + "Scan to review", or move the code to a plain part of the photo.
The table tent's sides don't line up The PDF was printed scaled to fit. Print at full size, without scaling.
