Event Photos

Event Photos delivers an event's photos to its guests. You upload the photos, or send them straight from the camera with Beam. Guests scan a QR code, verify on WhatsApp, take a selfie, and see only the photos they are in.

Where to find it

Click Photos on the left rail. The Event Photos menu lists:

  • Events — every event you photograph, and its gallery.
  • Cameras — every camera login your studio has, and the event each one sends to.
  • Reels — a short video for each guest, made from their own photos.

If you moved it under More, click More, then open the Event Photos section. See Customize the left rail.

How it works

  1. You create the event and pick how the guest page looks.
  2. You upload photos into folders, or link a camera with Beam. Ohanvi finds the faces in each photo.
  3. You publish the event and put the guest QR code up at the venue.
  4. A guest scans the QR code, verifies their WhatsApp number and takes a selfie.
  5. The guest sees the photos they are in, sorted by folder. While the event is live, new photos of them appear, and WhatsApp tells them.
  6. With Reels on, each guest also gets a short video made from their photos, in the gallery and on WhatsApp.

Guests need no app. The page opens in the phone's browser, at an address such as app.ohanvi.com/e/aarav-diya-wedding.

The event workspace

Open an event from Events to reach its workspace. It has these tabs:

Tab What you do there
Photos Upload photos, sort them into folders, and see how many faces each one has.
Beam Link cameras that send photos to this event while you shoot.
Share Copy the four links, set a PIN, download the QR code, and send a link on WhatsApp.
Guests See every guest who verified, how many photos they were found in, and their last WhatsApp message.
Selection See the photos the couple picked for the album, and export them.
Settings Choose match strictness, when photos reach guests, WhatsApp timing, downloads, watermark and selfie retention.

The top of the workspace shows whether the event is published, with Publish or Unpublish.

Fix Event Photos problems A camera won't connect, a photo failed, or a guest gets no photos or messages.

Before you start

  • Your role has access to Event Photos. If you cannot see Photos on the rail or under More, ask your admin. See Team, roles and permissions.
  • Your WhatsApp number is connected in Ohanvi. Guests verify on it, and their photo messages come from it. See Connect your WhatsApp number.
  • For guests who verify with a 6-digit code, your WhatsApp account has an approved Authentication template. See Create a message template.

Privacy

  • A guest's selfie is used only to find that guest's photos at that event.
  • A search never crosses events. A guest at one event never sees photos from another.
  • Original photos open only through private links.
  • Selfies are deleted after the retention period you set. Guests can delete their data at any time. See Change event settings.
  • A reel uses only photos the guest can already see. A guest can turn reels off, and deleting their data deletes their reel. See Make reels for guests.

FAQ

Can guests see each other's photos? Not on the guest link. Each guest sees only the photos they are in, and so does a VIP. Only the full gallery and album selection links show every photo. See Share the gallery.

Do guests see anything before I publish? No. Guests see no photos until you publish the event. They can still register on a draft event.

Do guests need to install an app? No. The page opens in their phone's browser.

Which photo files can I upload? JPEG and PNG. HEIF and RAW files are not supported yet. Export them as JPEG first.
